A multiple College of Arts and Science and Honors College teaching award-winner, Dr. Troy S. Hall teaches Environmental Ethics, Medical Ethics, Existentialism, and 19th Century Philosophy, as well as the four-semester Humanities Sequence for the Honors College. His philosophical interests include applied ethics, philosophy of art and music, and Continental philosophy. Also a professional musician and music educator, Hall teaches drumset and jazz masterclasses for the School of Music, and is an in-demand international music competition judge. He performs most Saturday nights as the house drummer at Murry’s Jazz Club. He is on the Scholarly Research committee for the Percussive Arts Society and the editorial board for the Journal of Jazz Education in Research and Practice. In his spare time, Dr. Hall enjoys coffee, fly fishing, reading, cooking, and all things Marvel and Star Wars.
