Bio

Alice Nyarko is a philosopher who is deeply interested in studying and understanding Ethics and legal issues in philosophy. She has a strong desire to critically examine issues and aims to address important and fundamental questions that influence how we perceive and understand morality, politics/governance and societal structures. Her primary objective is to foster and promote meaningful contributions and development for the betterment of society as a whole

Research

Throughout her academic career, Alice has had a keen interest about the moral principles governing individuals, societal structures, and the moral implications of rapid technological innovations. Along with investigating issues of justice, equality and the functions of legal/governmental institutions, her attention also extends to analyze both current ethical problems, to predict and resolve new related issues to ethics especially in our quick rapidly changing technological environment to contribute to actively shape the discourse to meet future ethical demands.

Teaching

Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL 1000)

She has extended her expertise by serving as a teaching assistant for Medical Ethics (PHIL 2440) and Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL1000), actively engaging students through discussion sections.
