Beck Apicello is a first-year student in the Ph.D. Program at Mizzou. Originally from the St. Louis area, they’re excited to be so close to home! They attended Mount Holyoke College for undergrad in South Hadley, Massachusetts. During a break due to COVID-19, they took some classes at the University of Pittsburgh. In fall 2021, they attended the Compass Workshop for underrepresented students in Philosophy at Princeton University.

Beck is dedicated to paying forward all the assistance and support they have received as an underrepresented student pursuing philosophy. No matter where their studies take them, they want to ensure feminist considerations are at the ground-level of all their work.
