Philosophy students inducted into Mizzou 39, Mizzou 18
Senior Philosophy major Jennifer Sutterer and Philosophy graduate student Alek Willsey won awards from the MU Alumni Association.
Jennifer was selected into the Mizzou 39. In the spirit of service that was the cornerstone of the 1839 founding of the University of Missouri, the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board presents the Mizzou '39 Award to 39 outstanding seniors each year, according to its website. Undergraduate recipients are chosen for their academic achievement, leadership and service to Mizzou and the community, the honorees represent a variety of majors, activities and organizations from across campus.
Jennifer is also majoring in Political Science. Her Philosophy adviser is Peter Markie.
Alek was selected to be in Mizzou 18. In the spirit of service, first modeled by the University's founding families in 1839, the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board presents the Mizzou 18 Award, according to its website. This award is dedicated to honoring 18 University of Missouri graduate and professional students in the last year of their degree eligibility. Chosen for their world-class research, collaboration with faculty and staff, and their demonstrated leadership with undergraduate students, the honorees represent a variety of majors, activities and organizations from across campus.
Alek is from Belton, Missouri and his adviser is Claire Horisk.
