Marta Heckel has joined the Philosophy Department as an assistant professor.  Her specialization is ancient western philosophy, especially Plato.  

She earned her Ph.D. in 2017 at Cornell University and served there as the Philosophical Review Visiting Lecturer during 2017–2018.  We are delighted to have her on board and bid her a warm welcome!
