Title: "The Openness of Illusions” — Friday, September 2, 3:30 to 5:30, (***note later start time***)

Many philosophers hold that perception is "open" to the world.  The existence of illusions, however, is supposed to threaten this idea.  I argue that, once we understand process of perception, we'll see that the perceptual experiences we call illusions are no less open than the ones we call veridical.
