Jason Berntsen (PhD, 2007) has a position as a tenure-track assistant professor at Xavier University in New Orleans, LA.

Jon Trerise (PhD, 2007) has a three-year renewable position at Florida International University.

Mat Koniecska (PhD, 2007) has a position as a visiting assistant professor at Hampden-Sydney College, VA.

Ron Novy (PhD, 2007) has a renewable position as a visiting instructor and college advisor at the University of Central Arkansas.

Philip Robbins (AOS Philosophy of Mind/Psychology) will be joining our faculty in the Fall of 2007!

Eric Roark, our Kline Chair research assistant, is the 2007 recipient of the Jean Hampton Memorial Prize awarded to the best paper in social and political philosophy submitted to the Pacific Division of the APA by a philosopher in an early career stage. Eric’s winning paper is entitled, “Is Michael Otsuka's Conception of Robust Self-Ownership Too Robust for a Left-Libertarian?”

Matt McGrath is the recipient of the Oxford Studies in Metaphysics Younger Scholar Prize.

The Department has two new Curators' appointments! Bina Gupta is the recipient of a Curators' Dinstinguished Professorship, and Peter Markie has received a Curators' Teaching Professorship. These appointments are the highest recognitions faculty members can receive at the University of Missouri.
